Quieter times
Getting to the computer had gone out of my life, reporting on gardens or reporting on anything. I think after we did the big clean up after our dry summer we seem to do big jobs like make lots of compost with the carbon and greens that has been mounting up. I've had a bit of a break after all that but-

We had such a warm autumn that the veges we put in for winter have grown so well. Some of our rocket went to seed in May, it was planted in late April.

A good half dozen of us still come regularly on a Wednesday morning and Matiu and a couple of refugee volunteers come on a Monday so the gardens are in pretty good order.
We have had leaves delivered to us by Nelmac which give us the great soil we use for our seedlings and use in our making of compost
Yes compost, it's a major thing that we do now since we learnt so much about it in our soil experiments.
